Change the Power – (Em)Power to Change

Local Authorities for the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Justice

What does our energy future look like? Is our world’s transformation on the right track? Are we really leaving no one behind?

Change the Power – (Em)Power to Change aims to empower cities and towns in localising the Sustainable Development Goals and foster a growing awareness and understanding of global interdependencies among their residents.

A continuation and update of the successful A Good Life is Simple campaign, change the Power calls attention to topics such as energy, mobility and consumption with a simple yet thrilling message: everyone can contribute and become part of the movement! The project offers concrete examples and educational material about our global energy future. It supports exchange between relevant actors and provides an online competition to reduce individual consumption impacts. In close cooperation with indigenous partners, a discussion on sustainable and fair development with a special focus on energy is one of the main topics of the project.

Project funding period: January 2018 – December 2020
via the DEAR (Development education and awareness raising) programme by EuropeAid
