European Covenant of Mayors – official launch of the renewed ambitions

Building on a survey among local authorities, which Climate Alliance members could also contributed to in 2020, and on the climate-neutrality target of the European Union, the Covenant of Mayors movement in Europe is getting bolder: signatories are invited to step up their ambitions and accelerate a just climate transition. Within the framework of the launch event, local leaders from the Political Board of the Covenant of Mayors will talk about the new Covenant vision and explain why it makes sense for local leaders to renew their ambitions. In the second part second part of the event, the Covenant of Mayors office will provide information on the new commitments and answer questions of participants.
This event is organised by the Covenant of Mayors – Europe Office funded by the European Commission, and in cooperation with the European Committee of the Regions. The event will be held in English. Interpretations for the first part will be provided in German, French, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak and Spanish.
