Cascais Declaration published: Strengthening just resilience at local and regional level
Today, Climate Alliance published the Cascais Declaration " Advancing just resilience in our towns, cities and regions". The declaration is the result of interactive discussions and contributions during the Climate Alliance International Conference in Cascais (PT) at the beginning of October.
With the Cascais Declaration, the network calls for a focus on just resilience in all mitigation and adaptation efforts. The declaration emphasises how this can be achieved and which aspects need to be taken into account: Inclusivity, awareness-raising, communication, exchange, analysis, principled action, financing, good governance and teamwork.
